Only in America

Had not alot to do while doing my 5hr a week shift at Aimhigher, so I was wandering around the internet and went to MSN.com. On there i found an article about DNA testing for a cat murder. Sounded really bizarre so i decided to read on. (couldn't find original article to show, but found something on the CNN website for you too look at).

Basically, this womans cat had been killed by a dog, and she was upset enough to be cryin under a tree with cat in arms for 2 hrs (aww). She then vowed revenge on the canine miscrient who mangled her poor moggy, cody. She started by examining the crime scene for clues, and found several golden hairs.
After taking her cat to the vet to confirm that it had been killed by a dog, she then scoured her local neighbourhood for any sign of a a golden dog. After accusing the dog of murder, she went to the relevant authorities (there are authorities for this apparently) and tried to get the dog punished. The officials said their wasn't enough evidence, the cat owner turned to moonlighting as a CSI detective and set about trying to get DNA testing.
The young pup's owners gave saliva samples to the courts, which proved to be a match. The moggy lover then decided to get the dog declared dangerous.

Unfortunately, cody hasn't been avenged as the case has been thrown out after 5 months of legal proceedings because there were no witnesses to this terrible crime.

Only in America.
